Oaksterdam University Elective Program

Prerequisite 1100 Course
In order to support more specialized learning, prerequisite classes are now being offered at the Oakland Campus. This Prerequisite Course consists of the core classes fundamental for every student of cannabis, regardless of what you plan to do within the cannabis industry or movement in the future. We require every student start with these classes, or their equivalent. Most Elective Classes do require that you have taken these prerequisites, however there are several exceptions. Any OU Alumni that has already attended a Basic 101 Seminar or Semester Course has completed these requirements, no need to take them again!
The Prerequisite Course (1100) covers the core program and is best suited for students who are likely to come back for more classes or who does not yet know the direction their interest might grow. Some prerequisite classes may be offered during the week, sometimes just before a popular Guest Speaker. Detailed descriptions of classes included in the Prerequisite Course are listed at the bottom of this page.

Applying for a job? Throughout the United States, employers are demanding applicants submit their urine along with their resume. Under increasingly pernicious laws and regulations, everyone from student athletes, to motorists, to expectant mothers are now having their bodily fluids snooped for the lingering presence of certain non-government approved substances -- mainly marijuana. Medical cannabis patients are especially at risk, as the California Supreme Court has said that even state-approved patients may lose their jobs if they fail to abide by their employer's arbitrary drug screening policies. What can you do about it? For starters -- sign up for this class. Paul Armentano is an expert in the field of cannabis pharmacokinetics and has testified in court as an expert on issues pertaining to cannabis and drug testing. He understands the tests and how to beat them, and he's here to tell you what you need to know to test clean.
