Business of Cannabis Course: New & Improved!

If you’re looking for a career in cannabis, Oaksterdam University’s Business of Cannabis course is for you. Whether you want to launch a cannabis start-up or pivot your expertise to serve the industry, our Business of Cannabis certificate program will give you the knowledge and credibility you need. Brand new course updates rolled out this summer are making the class even more relevant to budding entrepreneurs.

We offer our Business of Cannabis course two ways — Live Semester and Self-Paced.

Our Live Semester class is offered three times a year. Or, you can start our Business of Cannabis self-paced course any time, and fit it into your busy schedule any way you wish.

Both options includes lessons in history, law, products, ingestion, cultivation, business start-up, business management, advocacy, and more. Once you’re done, you’ll get a certificate of completion from Oaksterdam University that is well respected industry-wide.

Live Semester Updates

We have added two new modules to our Business of Cannabis Live Semester, “Introduction to the Cannabis Supply Chain” and “Branding and Marketing.”

Starting with our Fall semester, we have also built in more time for enhanced instruction and group projects, extending the program by three weeks. This allows students to develop deep working relationships with their cohort, and work on real-world capstone projects focused on launching their own businesses.

You’ll finish the course by completing a business plan based on real-world parameters to bring your dream cannabis company to life.

Self-Paced Updates

New updates to our Self-Paced course virtually double the amount of content. The updates include a library of resources plus 21 hours of video lectures by our faculty of cannabis experts. The videos are designed to complement the course texts, providing another level of resources to accommodate different learning styles. Videos include:
