Horticulture Department

Horticulture Program

Our Horticulture program is designed for anyone looking to learn everything from seed to harvest. Our courses will begin with cultivation law, giving you the opportunity to learn about the law as it pertains to growing, ensuring that you operate safely and responsibly.

Classes consist of slide presentations and lectures by industry leaders. Each class is accompanied with a hands on lab with plants in all stages. There will be ample opportunities to participate in Q & A sessions. Classes also include additional lab time with OU lab techs and instructors, as well as do-it-yourself (DIY) opportunities that will help you develop your personal goals in both small and large scale settings.

Our Horticulture Department is comprised of professional indoor & outdoor grow instructors with decades of experience. The department is also home to the world’s only hands-on cannabis grow facility.

There are two ways to take this program, in a 14-week Semester or a 4-day Seminar:

The Horticulture Semester is  14 weeks in duration, with classes meeting once a week on Thursdays for 2.5 hours. Both Indoor & Outdoor Horticulture are included in the Semester.

The Indoor Horticulture Seminar is a condensed 2-4 day version of our 14 week semester, offered in two parts (Part 1 & 2)
Please note: The Horticulture Seminar does not include Outdoor Horticulture
