The outdoor portion of the seminar will cover: Introduction to Outdoor/Greenhouse Growing, Site Selection and Compliance, Land Preparation, Greenhouses I, Genealogy of Cannabis for the Marketplace, Greenhouses II
The Horticulture Seminar provides the most comprehensive indoor horticultural education & training available for the Cannabis Industry. The Horticulture Seminar course is designed for those looking to learn everything from seed to harvest but cannot attend our full 14 week Horticulture Semester. Classes consist of slide presentations, lectures, demos, and hands-on workshops led by industry leaders and professional growers. The Horticulture Seminar is held in two parts (Part 1 & 2) over 4 days. Classes meet on Saturday & Sunday (Part 1) and Monday & Tuesday (Part 2). Classes also include Q&A sessions, volunteer hands-on lab time with OU lab techs and instructors, and DIY projects that will help you plan and develop your personal goals in both small and large-scale settings.
Horticulture Seminar – 4 Days • Tuition – $1295.00
Legal: Federal vs State Law, Safe & Responsible Horticulture, Seeds & Cuttings, Vegetative Growth, Transplanting, Topping, Mediums, Nutrients & pH, Methods of Irrigation, Nutrient Mixing, Early Flowering, Equipment Overview, Ventilation, Plant Propagation, Mothers & Cuttings, Conditions for Optimal Growth, Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrient Disorders, Lighting, Electrical Safety & Load Calculations, Pests & Pathogens, Organic Gardening, Sprays, Drenches, Compost Teas, CO2 Supplementation, Late Flowering, Harvesting Strategies, Manicuring, Drying & Curing, and Group Project.
Optional Outdoor Horticulture – 1 Day • Tuition – $400 (students will save $100 if they enroll in all 5 days)
