Bruce Bortle
Business Development Manager
Bruce Bortle brings over 25 years of experience in marketing services, management, and sales to Oaksterdam University. Since 2004, he has been focused on connecting colleges, universities, and training providers with prospective students pursuing their personal and professional goals.
As a believer in the value of affordable, accessible education and the numerous benefits of cannabis, Bruce is proud to be part of Oaksterdam University. In his role, Bruce is responsible for sales, business development, affiliate program management, and email program management.
Prior to joining Oaksterdam, Bruce’s career included leading his own enrollment management and demand generation company, Director of Media Operations at EducationDynamics, Online Marketing Director at Venture Direct Worldwide, Technical Services Director at Pacific Scientific Hiac/Royco, and instructor of electronics and electronic theory at the Virginia Institute of Technology. Additionally, Bruce served in the U.S. Navy and studied advanced electronics, including cryptographic equipment, communications, and radar systems.
When he’s off the clock, Bruce enjoys spending time with his wife, their dogs, as well as photography, keeping aquariums, horseback riding, and meditation.
