David has been a medical cannabis patient activist and law reform advocate for over 10 years and has taught high school mathematics for 34 years.
From 2008 through 2013, he was the chair of San Francisco chapter of Americans for Safe Access.
From 2009 through 2011, he was one of two patient advocates sitting on San Francisco’s Medical Cannabis Task Force.
Currently, he is the President of the San Francisco chapter of the Brownie Mary Democratic Club.
He runs a quarterly compassion program for limited-income medical cannabis patients. He is also active in California NORML and the San Francisco chapter of the California Growers Association.
