Kim Murray earned her Bachelor of Science in Professional Accountancy from Pennsylvania State University. She graduated from Oaksterdam University in 2014 and remains an active alum and proud ambassador for OU. Kim serves Oaksterdam on an ad-hoc basis to further cannabis education, awareness, and policy. She has assisted Oaksterdam at events in New York City, Atlantic City, Washington DC, Las Vegas, and Oakland, as well as several international events in Jamaica and Spain.
Before entering the cannabis industry, Kim worked as a broker for electronic shopping channels at Jean Murray Talent & Promotions (QVC), managing accounts totaling $45 million in sales. She also worked as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). Kim’s broad knowledge of accounting and retail propelled her into the exciting and ever-changing cannabis industry.
She now owns Hollywood Smokin’, with two locations in New Jersey, and works as a patient advocate, pro-regulation emissary, and volunteer for Minorities4MedicalMarijuana and DFO. Kim also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Stockton University, where she teaches General Cannabis Studies.
Kim is the proud mother of two adult boys. She lives on the shores of New Jersey and enjoys reading, pickleball, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
