Oaksterdam University is proud to announce we will offer our Budtending Certification Program LIVE, online in real-time for the first time this spring. Registration is open now for the virtual four-week course, which begins March 16, 2022. Students who complete the course will get skilled and certified for a Budtending career.
Oaksterdam coined the term “budtender” and has long offered the most comprehensive cannabis education available for this important job. Budtending is a great way to enter the fast-growing cannabis industry, and this course offers everything students need to know to land a job, increase their skills, or pivot into a new career.
Developed by leading experts, OU’s Budtending Certification Program offers an introduction to cannabis cultivation and extraction with a background in cannabis history, law, and advocacy. We examine the breadth of cannabis cultivars and products on the market, along with how they affect the body. We also highlight customer relations, and areas unique to cannabis retail including product handling, security, and patient safety.
Classes meet for two hours once a week for four weeks, March 16-April 6. Students who complete the course leave with an Oaksterdam University Budtending Certification, respected industry-wide. OU also offers our Budtending Certification Self-Paced, for those who wish to complete the course online at their own pace.
